He has also included some very honest yet dark poems that he wrote as a way of confronting the past that lay hidden deep inside his unhappy mind. It was his mountain to climb where he did eventually and successfully reach the summit... About the AuthorKim Wheeler was born in London 1954 and was promptly abandoned by his family, he was then taken in by the local authority where he spent the next five years, he was then fostered, adopted, moved and had his name changed at the age of six, after six confusing year's he was sent away to boarding school, leaving four years later to face the world emotionally alone and hurt.Over the next thirty year's he suffered many physical injuries resulting in near death and finally disability from an incurable spine injury, then the sudden decline into despair, loneliness, drug and alchohol abuses resulting in a complete mental breakdown. Finding himself at the bottom of a black pit he started the painful climb to the light by facing his past, forgiving the perpertrators of so many abuses, his lonesome search to the roots of his life, finding the courage to remove all the hurt and his freedom from drug / alchohol addictions to coming to terms with his injuries and disabilities and his battle with the very people who are paid to help but who sadly ignored his cries for help, eventually culminating in Kim finding himself, his new found freedom, peace and subsequent happiness and this book.
